SL-ATE STUDIO is the creative home of Nathan Slate, fashion designer and multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of fashion, art, and experience.

Nathan’s work has been showcased at London Fashion Week and Portugal Fashion Week, and his designs have been worn by internationally recognised artists including Lady Gaga and Rihanna, alongside emerging creatives across music, performance, and visual culture. Rooted in sustainability, his practice explores textile printing with flowers, experimental materials, and handcrafted processes that blur the boundaries between fashion and contemporary art.

SL-ATE STUDIO operates as both a working studio and a public-facing creative space. By day, Nathan develops his fashion collections and artistic commissions, spanning ceramics, sculpture, and immersive fragrance experiences. At selected times, the studio opens to the public through creative workshops, talks, and hands-on sessions, hosted by Nathan and a rotating programme of designers and artists.

The space also includes a showroom presenting selected works, available to view by appointment only. During workshops, visitors are invited to explore and purchase pieces, with bookings managed via Eventbrite.

Located in a private annexe behind the Great Western Hotel, directly opposite Taunton train station, SL-ATE STUDIO is conceived as a place for making, learning, and connection—bringing together conscious design, craft, and community.
